Swimming Lessons
The CFB Winnipeg pool at Building 90 is back in action and ready to welcome military members and the wider Winnipeg community. It's a bright, family-friendly aquatic space offering something for every kind of swimmer, from casual splashers to dedicated lap-training regulars.
Our facility features a main tank with swim lanes and a deep end, a shallow kiddie pool with a mushroom fountain, and a hot tub for relaxing after a swim. There's plenty of equipment on hand: kickboards, pool buoys, fins, and more.

Registration
How to Register?
Registration for Lessons starts at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, for military, veterans, and their families.
Registration opens to the public the following week on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Classes run from Sept 22 - Nov 28 2026.

Our Programs
Parent and Tot
Enjoy quality time with your child as you splash, learn, and grow together. Our structured parent-child activities introduce positive water habits and early swimming skills through play and song.
You will also receive lifesaving Society Water Smart safety tips to help you protect your child in an aquatic setting. Our certified instructors are there to guide you, encourage you, and answer anything you're curious about.
Preschool
Give your child a confident start in the water. The Life Saving Society preschool program introduces young learners to the water in a positive, playful way, helping them build comfort and respect before they dive into deeper skills.
Our basic progressions guide three- to five-year-olds through fun activities that develop early water confidence and get a strong skill foundation. Water Smart Safety education is woven into preschool level to support safe swimming for life.
Swimmer
Let your child make a splash while learning real swimming skills. Designed for ages 5 and up, the Lifesaving Society's Six-Level Swimmer Program supports everyone from first-timers to eager improvers.
Each level is filled with active water time, deep-water support, underwater skills, and smooth, efficient strokes. Along the way, swimmers build healthy habits that last. Water Smart lessons are included in every level to keep kids safe and confident.
Lesson Schedule
Our swimming lessons are offered once per week over a 10-week session, giving participants the opportunity to build skills and confidence through consistent practice. Please note that class times vary depending on the specific program and level.
