Indigenous Veterans' Day Nov 8th
@Portage La Prairie - Red River Metis Veterans Department presents Indigenous Veterans Day
@Neeginan Centre, 181 Higgins Ave, Wpg - Indigenous Veterans' Day Ceremony
Bus transport from the Wing to the ceremony has been secured for those interested in attending the Ceremony at the Neeginan Centre. Departure will be from B129 to the Neeginan Centre @ 0915 & RTB 1230.
Interested pers will be required to self-identify to confirm bus seat availability by sending an email to +DIAG-GCAD@CFB Winnipeg@Winnipeg
Sgt Kevin Morrison & Sgt Brent Thompson are the POCs for this event.

Coloring Contest
Join 17 Wing Winnipeg in Honouring Indigenous Veterans Day!
In recognition of Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8, we invite you and your family to participate in a special coloring contest that celebrates the service and sacrifices of current serving CAF members and Indigenous veterans.
This activity is designed to connect families with the history and contributions of Indigenous veterans through art and learning.
How to Participate:
1. Download the poster, from Veterans Affairs: https://www.veterans.gc.ca/.../aboriginal-veterans-colour
2. Let your creativity shine! Color the poster with your family and learn about the significance of Indigenous Veterans Day.
3. Submit your artwork at 17WingVoxair@cfmws.com for a chance to win a $25 Toy R Us gift card.
